  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

Wiedza:

Student has specialized knowledge on the genesis and systematics of international economic law

Students will be familiar with the specifics of the legal environment in international business and the consequences of operating at the intersection of public and private law.

Student recognizes the impact of the regulatory environment on international and domestic economic transactions.

Umiejętności:

Student is be able to indicate the norms of international economic law applicable in a given sphere of economic relations.

2. Student is able to interpret the division of substantive scopes in international economic law.

3. Student is able to predict the legal consequences of becoming involved in international business.

Kompetencje społeczne:

1. Student is able to evaluate the legal risks associated with business activities

2. Student is able to apply legal instruments to the need of realizing own aims, including argumentation - working out compromises.

Lecture covers particularities of international trade law WTO, ICC), international finance (IMF, Casel Committee) and international investment law (ICSID, NAFTA). Separate section of the lecture will focus on interntional eonomic governance.

Introduction to regulatory environment of international economic cooperation and their relevance in shaping business environment both in international and domestic context. Lecture covers: - law of international finance, - protection of Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), - international trade law, - economic governance, - economic sanctions. Students will focus on regulation of the WTO, IMF, the World Bank (Group) and transnational regulatory networks (like the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision).
