Wiedza: has knowledge about regulatory mechanisms in European energy markets has knowledge about the economic and ecological aspects of energy management learned the basic concepts and economic categories in the field of energy management, the specificity of the process of liberalization of network industries knows the current trends and the most important legal acts shaping of the EU and Polish energy policy Umiejętności: understands functioning of the electricity and gas market can assess competition in a selected energy market in the EU is able to evaluate from the electricity enterprises' point of view , the changing environment, resulting from the development of the electricity and gas market and other markets correlated with them knows how to determine the purpose and consequences of introducing new EU legal regulations concerning the electricity and gas market Kompetencje społeczne: demonstrates openness and interest in the processes of energy market transformations shows the ability to understand the conditions of the energy markets liberalization affecting business environment and can practically use this knowledge |

The subject program includes theoretical foundations and practical regulations related to the transition from monopoly and market building in the area of network industries in the European Union. Due to the specificity of energy as a commodity and its multifaceted importance for the modern economy, the process of liberalization of the energy market started in Europe in the 1990s and its effects are important for building competitive advantages of the EU economy. |

The aim of the lecture is to familiarize students with theoretical and practical aspects of introducing competition on the energy market in the European Union and the principles and practical effects of the functioning of these markets. |
