Wiedza: The course is focused on the communication skills - students should be able to survive in everyday situations as early as possible. Students are taught four disciplines: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Student will know basic words and expressions. Students will know some facts of Polish history and culture. Umiejętności: Ability of expressing wishes and asking questions in everyday situations, reading short texts, understanding short text and information (written and spoken). Independence in shopping, ordering food etc. Understanding information, warnings, independence in dealing with various situation which occur in everyday life. Kompetencje społeczne: The focus is educating creative and reflective students with linguistic and cultural competencies of the students with the skills to communicate in Polish,find their way in society, different culturally, mastery and striving for development of intercultural attitudes, based on mutual understanding and respect for linguistic and cultural diversity. Evaluation criteria Multiple Choice Test (2 tests (mid term and final)): 100.00% The threshold percentage of absences (excluding lectures) defined as the proportion of class hours beyond which the achievement of learning outcomes is deemed unattainable: 20% Detailed passing conditions: A student must meet all four of the following conditions to receive a passing grade in the language course, confirming the achievement of learning outcomes: 1. Obtain a minimum of 35 per cent from written control tests, 2. Obtain a minimum of 60 per cent in total, 3. Obtain at least half of the points awarded for spoken language, 4. Attend at least 80% classes during the semester Detailed rules for passing the semester are included in the document Rules for Assessing Language Courses. |
