Researcher's workshop

The workshop aims to provide Ph.D. students with practical skills in searching for academic information. Thanks to this, doctoral students obtain the necessary knowledge to develop an Individual Research Plan.

The aim of the workshop is to provide doctoral students with practical skills in four areas: a) review of research funding sources, b) rules for the correct preparation of a grant application, c) a guide to literature databases, d) information on the possibilities of foreign academic trips for doctoral students.

Literatura podstawowa:

Materials prepared by lecturers. Websites of selected institutions. Websites of selected databases.

Literatura uzupełniająca:

Wiedza: The doctoral student knows the main domestic and foreign sources of research funding and the general principles of writing grant applications.; The doctoral student knows the most important databases of journals and other publications available in social sciences.; The doctoral student knows the academic programs of international exchange.

Umiejętności: A doctoral student is able to prepare an application for a research grant.; A Ph.D. student can use databases to select publications necessary for their own research.; A doctoral student is able to choose a grant program appropriate to his needs and abilities.

Kompetencje społeczne: The doctoral student is ready to actively and creatively use the available grant programs in the development of a scientific career.; The doctoral student is ready to actively and creatively use the academic international exchange programs in the development of a scientific career.; The doctoral student is ready to actively and creatively use the available database tools in the development of a scientific career.
