Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: Student understands the transition of Chinese and Indian economy since the second half of 20c. Student knows the differences in doing business in his/her home country and China and India. Student knows the business strategies applied in market entry, marketing, CSR, role of the state and institutions for doing business in China and India. Umiejętności: Can analyse and evaluate contemporary political and economic changes in China and India and their role in the world economy. Understands mechanisms and cultural aspects of doing business in China and India. Student is able to apply theoretical approaches to analyzing foreign business operations in China and India as well as Chinese and Indian multinational corporations' foreign direct investment. Student is able to determine main challenges and opportunities in economic growth of China and India as well as faced by foreign businesses on Chinese and Indian markets. Kompetencje społeczne: Student will become a high-skilled staff of a given international organization or multinational firm. Student will know how to work in a team. Student will acquire the ability to participate in discussions on the problems related to China?s and India?s economic growth and doing business in China and India. |

This course provides an overview of the China,s and India,s economic growth, role of the state, economic and industrial policies. Focus is given to cultural aspects of doing business, strategies for market entry, business strategies, marketing and sourcing, institutions relevant for managers. In addition, Chinese and Indian multinational corporations, including their operations in the EU, will be discussed with implications for managers doing business in emerging as well as developed markets. |

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of the Chinese and Indian economies. The course's purpose is to enhance students understanding of China's and India's economic growth, issues relevant for doing business in these two big economies (with focus on international trade and foreign direct investment policies and business culture), as well as challenges and opportunities faced by businesses operating there. The course aims at comprehensive analysis of Chinese and Indian multinational corporations' strategies in the EU. |
