We discuss basic models of oligopoly and their application to clarify issues related to the classic strategic problems of firms as collusion, mergers, investments, pricing strategies, and product differentiation. |

Pełny opis: |
The course introduces main topics of industrial economics/industrial organization. A closer look at the economic problems of industries allows students to study problems such as strategic competition in various types of markets, emergence of new sectors/industries, evolution of technologies, competition policy, structure and regulation of markets. Acquisition of skills allowing students to conduct independent economic studies of industries and markets within the selected scope of empirical statics and/or dynamics. |
