| Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: The student knows and understands classical oligopoly models. The student knows the concepts of markets with network effects and two-sided markets. The student knows the basic principles of competition protection and concentration control. Umiejętności: The student is able to apply the economic models learned to analyze a specific market situation. The student is able to analyse, evaluate and interpret decisions of competition authorities based on case studies. The student is able to formulate and justify opinions regarding business strategies. Kompetencje społeczne: The student actively participates in discussions on problems of various markets and sectors, using theoretical and empirical knowledge of economics. The student is able to work in a group to prepare joint projects and analyses. |

The course introduces main topics of industrial economics/industrial organization. A closer look at the economic problems of industries allows students to study problems such as strategic competition in various types of markets, emergence of new sectors/industries, evolution of technologies, competition policy, structure and regulation of markets. Acquisition of skills allowing students to conduct independent economic studies of industries and markets within the selected scope of empirical statics and/or dynamics. |
