Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: Student will get to know different types of product market regulations, international differences in a scope of anti-competitive regulations and determinants of product market reforms. Student will get to know main channels through which product market regulations affect economic activity. Student will get to know an impact of product market regulations on the effects caused by different economci reforms for advancing economic activity. Umiejętności: Student will be able to conduct cost and benefit analysis of different product market regulations. The student will be able to discuss examples of reforms that increase the scope of competition in the product market in selected countries and indicate the determinants of these reforms. The student will be able to analyze the economic benefits of various types of product market reforms. Kompetencje społeczne: The student will be able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of law and economics and the ability to analyze data for independent assessment of economic phenomena. The student will be able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of law and economics and the ability to analyze data for independent assessment of various regulatory impacts on the growth prospects of the economy. The student will be able to use the acquired knowledge in the field of law and economics to evaluate and distinguish the short- and long-term impact of the product market regulations on the prospects of economic growth. |

A goal of the lecture is an analysis of main channels through which a variety of anticompetitive regulations, especially in the service sectors, affect economic growth. Students will be provided with an in-dept knowledge regarding findings from numerous empirical studies that investigated an impact of product market regulations on main macroeconomic variables like employment, export, productivity, process or economic growth rate. The discussed research will cover anticompetitive barriers in service sectors, including professional services where access is limited by law. |
