Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: The student will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge on the essence of legal systems, their effectiveness and impact on the rate of economic growth, the specificity of legal acts and their impact, among others public finance sector, competitiveness of the economy, entrepreneurship, labor market, regional development. The student will acquire knowledge enabling understanding of complex processes and phenomena occurring in law as well as their impact on the economy. The student learns the basic mechanisms of microeconomics used in economic law analysis. Umiejętności: The student will be able to make a critical analysis, interpretation and evaluation of phenomena and processes in the field of economic analysis of law. The student will be able to analyze the legal structure and application of economic theories. The student will be able to convert the acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of law and economics into practical knowledge. Kompetencje społeczne: The student demonstrates the ability to actively participate in shaping a democratic society. The student has the ability to reach and use various sources of knowledge. The student can substantively engage in a discussion about the directions of economic reforms. |

The aim of course is to introduce student to foundations of law and economics in terms of microeconomics. During the course student will gain knowledge of demand and supply theory, as basic market forces, as well as demand and supply elasticity with its application. Thanks to the course student will be able to define elementary problems of government policies and to explain consumer and producer role in free-market economy. The course will provide student with skills for analyzing costs and taxes. During the course, the lecturer will present the basic market failures: monopoly and oligopoly as well as government failures. Moreover, students will learn to formulate main problems in terms of game theory. At the end of the course, student will be familiarized with basic concepts of public goods, externalities and asymmetric information. |
