Students gain knowledge about the needs and possibilities of international cooperation in the field of use of natural resources (especially energy) and environmental protection. They will also understand the essence of international conflicts arising both during the use of the natural environment and its protection.

Umiejętności:

Students possess the ability to self-assess potential international conflicts that may arise both during the expanded use of environmental resources (especially energy) and growing intensity of its protection. They will also be able to suggest ways to resolve potential conflicts in these areas.

Kompetencje społeczne:

Given the broad and highly interdisciplinary nature of the course participants get the ability to estimate international conflicts in the fields of activity beyond the use of natural resources (especially energy) and its protection.

On the one hand, international cooperation is a prerequisite for the success of protection that can provide stable use of resources, incl. energy. On the other, this cooperation requires solving many international conflicts. They arise from differences existing among countries in the intensity of use of environment and their willingness to take measures for its protection.

The aim of the course is to present needs and forms of international cooperation in the field of use and protection of the environment, with a particular focus on energy, on the background of the conflicts that are caused by the differences existing between countries due to differences in the intensity of use of environmental resources as well as his willingness to take measures for its protection.
