Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: The student should know how to analyze and interpret company financial information and capital market indicators, appreciate the alternatives for financing a business and become aware of the motivations behind the corporate executives (including the agency theory) and major players in the financial market. The student should be able to: 1) evaluate corporate projects and make decisions based on financial data, 2) analyze a firm's financial statements, 3) understand how investment and financing decisions impact the value of a firm. The student should know and be able to use basic financial theories and tools related to the concept of present value, the opportunity cost of capital, discounted cash flow analysis, market valuation techniques, market volatility, comparison between short and long term financial management, relations between risk and return, capital asset pricing model, capital budgeting, corporate capital structure, relations between operating and financing decisions, dividend policy, exchange rate/interest rate risk analysis, and issues of corporate governance. Umiejętności: The student should: 1. correctly calculate time value of money at fixed and variable discounting rate, 2. have the ability to utilize a cash flow account in business management, 3. have the ability to estimate weighted average cost of capital in the enterprise, 4. know how to use discounting methods in evaluation of investment projects, 5. be able to analyse correctly an operational risk and a financial risk in the enterprise.
