Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: 1. Defining and understanding basic concepts of ethics and business ethics; understanding their roles in justification of personal decisions and attitudes. 2. Comparison of aim and fundamental characteristics of humanities and positive sciences. 3. Understanding of professional and social duties of university graduates. 4. Identifying of human being characteristics, differentiation from social roles played by a man. 5. Differentiation of values and interests, social and economic component of human life, interpretation of their mutual relationship, applying it to the idea of social responsibility of economy. 6. Identifying and understanding of basic moral conflicts of economic activities, fundamental pathologies and methods for solving them. Umiejętności: 1. Analyzing (reading with understanding) of texts on ethical and business ethics issues. 2. Interpreting of decisions and solutions undertaken by business people in face of moral conflict. 3. Planning and building tools and methods for pro-ethical corporate culture - debate and dialogue. 4. Presentation (oral and written) of chosen issues of the business ethics. Kompetencje społeczne: 1. Active attitude towards ethical problems of business. 2. Motivation to take role of social leader. 3. Openness for dialogue, discussion and debate. 4. Sensibility for violation of ethics in an area of business. |

The course is devoted to the issues of business ethics and ethics in economy seen in humanistic approach - then it is much more a tool for forming attitudes of future businessmen than their professional skills. The main issue of the course is introductions into Philosophy of Economics, reflections on conflicts of values and interests in business activities and responsibilities on the level of whole economy, corporation and personal decisions. Discussion and debates on PPE questions (Politics, Philosophy/Religion and Economics). |

Introduction into the basic elements of the philosophy of economics and ethics in economy. Transfer of basic knowledge of business ethics and chosen elements of general ethics. Institutional and religious backgrounds of Business Ethics. Presentation of main rules of social corporate responsibility and typical pathologies of business activities. Developing elementary skills in building and using tools of pro-ethical corporation culture. Stimulation of sensitivity for moral conflicts accompanying business roles and activities and personal responsibility for decision taken. (Version traditional or online). |
