Wiedza: Student knows the basic concepts and theoretical typologies of culture (national, business and corporate). Student knows the scope and understands the importance of cultural factors for international business operations. Student knows recent international cultural trends. Umiejętności: Student is able to identify and compare the main types of culture (national, business, corporate). Student is able to give examples of companies' activities in foreign markets in which local/regional specificity has been considered. Student is able to identify mistakes in companies' activities in foreign markets resulting from ignorance od cultural factors. Kompetencje społeczne: Student is able to find himself/herself in a diversified cultural environment. Student is sensitive to cultural specificity/diversity in international business. |

Basic concepts and classifications of cultures (national, business, corporate etc.) and their importance for operations of international business. Analysis of variety of cultural determinants in the companies' activities in foreign markets. |

Presentation of selected theoretical concepts of culture (at macro-, meso- and micro- level). Characteristics of elements of culture and presentation of main typologies of culture as elements of international environment of companies. Analysis of relations between cultural factors and activities in the area of international business. |
