Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: Student is able to: 1. determine the reasons and consequences of historical and predictive approach to measurement in an accounting, 2. identify economic resources unrecognized in conventional accounting i.e. intellectual assets, 3. determine the indications of impairment and the rules of its measurement, 4. describe the methods of measurement of financial instruments, investment property and contracts with customers and indicate their impact on profit and loss and other comprehensive income, 5. apply rules for measuring deferred tax and displaying in statement of financial position and profit and loss account. Umiejętności: Student should: 1. be apply a predictive approach to measurement, 2. be able to recognise and assess the impairment of assets, 3. be able to measure different financial instruments at the moment of their initial recognition and after recognition, 4. choose the most favorable measurement method for fixed assets as well as method of depreciation or amortization in line with accounting policies, 5. recognize deferred tax asset or liability. Kompetencje społeczne: Student should be able to: 1. choose the measurement method for individual asset or liability, taking into consideration the market situation, 2. determine the effects of different measurement methods on financial position of an enterprise and its performance. |

The objective: To introduce students to: 1) the measurement problems in an accounting as a consequence of transition from historical to predictive approach. 2) the impairment of assets in the context of capital maintenance. 3) the specific problems of a contemporary accounting, e.g. a) measurement of financial instruments, investment property and construction contracts, b) recognition of intellectual assets in an accounting, c) recognition of lease agreements and deferred taxes in an accounting. |
