Wiedza: To enlarge knowlegde on changes and economic mechanism of the conterporary world economy. to understand the most important macroeconomic processes occurring in the global economy in the last few decades. The student demonstrates knowledge of the factors affecting the changes taking place in the modern global economy. Umiejętności: To examine the factors behind the transformation of the contemporary world economy. identification and presentation of the main issues related to the functioning of the world economy Ability to interpret real data and economic phenomena using acquired knowledge. Kompetencje społeczne: To be able to write an economic essey on the position of a country in the world economy. The student acquires the habit of constantly updating economic knowledge, which reinforces the desire to improve knowledge throughout his/her life, |

The main aims of this course are: 1. to provide an understanding of economic theory, concepts and methods essential to the study of World Economy; 2. to analyze the global economic map and its evolution; 3. to examine the factors behind the transformation of the world economy stressing the process of liberalization; 4. to awake academic interest of the global economy challenges; 5. to stimulate reading of economic newspapers in English; 6. to stimulate M.A. and B.A. thesis on the world economy. |
