Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: A student should: 1. Be acquainted with theoretical fundamentals of designing econometric models, their verification and prediction based on such models. 2. Know, if certain micro or macroeconomic thesis can be verified by means of econometric model. 3. Know, what type of model should be applied to describe or predict given socio-economic process or problem. 4. Know, what data are necessary to estimate a certain econometric model. A student should: 1. Understand a structure of input-output table and know, what conclusions can be given based on this table. 2. Be acquainted with Leontief model, know what are its assumptions and what information it supplies. A student should: 1. Be acquainted with fundamentals of simultaneous-equation models and applied general equilibrium models. 2. Know, what decision problems can be solved based on operations research. Umiejętności: A student should know how to: 1. Design an econometric research to verify hypotheses concerning economic and social problems. 2. Evaluate quality of the data for estimation of econometric model. 3. Interpret the results of econometric modeling and prediction. 4. Differentiate reliable and non-reliable results of modeling and prediction. 5. Estimate not complicated econometric model. A student should know how to: 1. Infer about interdependence of production processes in branches of the economy based on input-output table. 2. Evaluate and compare efficiency and dynamics of production processes in different branches. 3. Based on Leontief model evaluate a share of each branch in GDP. A student should know how to: 1. Specify a problem which needs a decision optimization, determine its restrictions and decision criterion. 2. Recognize a decision problem suitable to be solved by linear programming method. Kompetencje społeczne: A student should without fear reach for quantitative tools. A student should understand the need of introducing quantitative analysis in every field of economics and management. |

Providing the students with essential knowledge of modern econometrics, operations research, macromodeling and input-output analysis, and ability of its applications in practice, emphasizing first of all applications not theory. Inducing students to friendly treating quantitative analysis of socio-economic problems. Convince students, that no field of modern economics and social and management science can abandon methods of quantitative analysis. Teaching "Econometrics" consists of lectures and classes in computer laboratory. Studying "Econometrics" needs a knowledge of mathematics from the first year of studies and fundamentals of descriptive and mathematical statistics. Programme of "Econometrics" consists of essentials of modern econometrics, operations research, macromodeling and input-output analysis. An idea of this course assumes much stronger emphasizing applications than theory. Econometrics is appropriate introduction to use quantitative methods in economics, finance, management and marketing. |
