Skrócony opis: |
In the course both methods for exploratory data analysis and methods of statistical inference are presented which provide tools for decision making on the base of sample data. The course contains an overview of graphical and numerical methods for summarizing data as well as basic notions of inferential statistics, including sampling distributions, confidence intervals, statistical hypothesis testing. These are the basic statistical building blocks for a number of useful. |
|
Pełny opis: |
The objective of the course is to provide students with knowledge on the basic tools in descriptive and inferential statistics. The acquired knowledge should serve as a basis for further advanced courses in quantitative methods and other fields employing analytical instruments, such as economics, management, marketing, banking, demography. |
