Wiedza: Student: has the knowledge allowing him/her to define, describe, explain, analyse, and interpret algorithms and the rules of modeling information systems and processes of organizations and enterprises; Student: has the knowledge allowing him/her to define, describe and interpret the basics of data modelling and database technology and the aim and conditions of its applicability in an organization; Student: has the knowledge of fundamental terms related to database technology and knows the basics of database modeling; Student: knows the rules of database application, usage and development. Umiejętności: Students should be able to: investigate, analyse, interpret, explain and assess the business organization's information needs using suitable modeling rules and case studies. This develops comprehensive problem perception skills and constructive reasoning skills; Students should be able to: analyse and assess possible approaches and constraints of business organizations modeling for database needs using suitable case studies. This develops logical reasoning skills and decision making skills; Students should be able to: model organization's and enterprises' informational needs using suitable diagrams, techniques and case studies, is able to practically apply modeling to design, construct and develop a simple database application using off-the-shelf tools. Students should be able to: perform data analysis and visualize data using proprietary applications in Microsoft's cloud technology Kompetencje społeczne: Student: is able to set appropriate priorities for a given set of tasks; Student: is able to take active part in the process of a preparation of a larger project; Student: is able to enhance his/her knowledge and skills through active discussions during the class and interactions while working in a team. |

Special attention is paid to the issues of building and implementing software, modeling data and data analysis, taking into account practical skills in using IT tools in the framework of modern technologies provided by Microsoft. |
