Theory of the State

The specific concept of state power, its forms and practical execution. The state institution: genesis, the structure, the evolution and current status of state in the integration and globalization era. Parties and party systems. The five crucial polity models: presidential, parliamentary-cabinet, chancellor government, presidential-parliamentary and convent system of government. Institutions of local government, direct democracy and civic society.

Acquainting of students with theoretical bases of the state`s institutions and its significance for societies and fellow citizens. The equally vital aim is to teach students with the ability to analyze functioning of models of contemporary states and their role in the social and economic development. Finally, acquainting of knowledge, skills and understanding of the power in current states and their importance for shaping active civil society.
