Wiedza: Student knows the essence of power in various functional and institutional dimensions. Student possesses the knowledge on various types and forms of states in history and in modern times Student knows the contemporary state catalogue of organs and constitutional principles. Umiejętności: Student is aware of state necessary role in societal and individual development. Student can interpret the constitutional rules with reference to state and its organs Student is able to forecast voting behavior and calculate the election results in accordance of different methods. Kompetencje społeczne: Student becomes active participant of decision processes in political, economic and economic life. Student has emotional attitude to polish constitutional and parliamental achievements and understands similar developments in other countries. |

The specific concept of state power, its forms and practical execution. The state institution: genesis, the structure, the evolution and current status of state in the integration and globalization era. Parties and party systems. The five crucial polity models: presidential, parliamentary-cabinet, chancellor government, presidential-parliamentary and convent system of government. Institutions of local government, direct democracy and civic society. |

Acquainting of students with theoretical bases of the state`s institutions and its significance for societies and fellow citizens. The equally vital aim is to teach students with the ability to analyze functioning of models of contemporary states and their role in the social and economic development. Finally, acquainting of knowledge, skills and understanding of the power in current states and their importance for shaping active civil society. |
