Skrócony opis: |
1. To introduce the strategic types of reflection on selected problems, techniques, and instruments applied in contemporary economics; 2. To discuss conceptual foundations and practice choice of research strategies in applied economics; 3. To practice selected procedures in research projects in contemporary applied economics. |
Pełny opis: |
Research methodology in economics is neither philosophy of science, economic methodology nor research tools and methods although overlap and inter-relationships of areas of reflection are obvious and inevitable. We see research methodology in economics as areas of strategic choices concerning the construction of persuasive economic arguments supported by empirical evidence. Conceptual (philosophical) and procedural aspects that enable the design and realisation of a research project are crucial. One best path towards valid and reliable economic knowledge does not exist and the workshop aims at facilitating the understanding of variety and justified disagreements. |
