Wiedza: has knowledge about economic, social and environmental (climate) aspects of energy management knows the basic concepts and economic categories of the energy market and energy exchanges. has knowledge about the mechanisms of functioning of global energy markets has knowledge about the motives and current state of liberalization processes of network industries has in-depth knowledge of trade in energy carriers and processed energy, operation and transactions Umiejętności: is able to perceive relations and dependencies occurring on global conventional and renewable energy sources can determine long-term trends shaping of energy demand and supply in the global economy can draw the direction of technological changes in the field of obtaining energy carriers, generating electricity and increasing energy efficiency understands the processes of liberalization of network industries (energy) (example of the European Union) is able to justify the importance of energy in today's global and regional economy Kompetencje społeczne: shows openness and interest in the processes of market transformations in energy markets demonstrates the ability to determine the impact of technological progress on the energy market shows understanding of the conditions of transformations taking place in global and regional energy markets and liberalization processes in these markets |

The role and importance of energy for the modern economy: access to resources, security of supply, cost of obtaining them, impact on the environment (climate). Factors determining the supply of energy resources, demand, level and price fluctuations as well as trade in carriers and energy. Global, regional and local markets. The processes of globalization and the liberalization of the energy market. |

The aim of the lecture is to familiarize students with current knowledge about the role and importance of energy in the modern economy. Based on the theoretical basis, global and regional analysis analyzes the markets, including crude oil, coal, gas, nuclear energy, electricity and alternative energy carriers, evaluation of their development, mode of operation and international cooperation. |
