Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: 1. The student understands the influence of global environment on activities of firms and employees. 2. The student understands the notion of national culture and knows different classifications of national cultures. 3. The student understands the notion of cultural shock and knows how to minimise it. 4. The student knows basic rules of leading inter-cultural team and of working in such a team. 5. The student knows basic rules of behaviour towards (among) the representatives of different cultures. Umiejętności: 1. The student knows how to prepare an employee for a foreign assignment. 2. The student is capable of working in multi-cultural team, organise its work and lead it. 3. The student is able to effectively communicate, negotiate and persuade over cultural differences. 4. The student is able to speak about other cultures and religions with respect in order not to offend their representatives. 5. The student is capable of identifying, diagnosing and solving the cross-cultural problems. Kompetencje społeczne: 1. The student knows how to behave towards the representatives of different religions and cultures. 2. The student develops the capabilities of working in an international team. 3. The student learns to accept co-responsibility for the results of team work. |

The course objective is to show students the differences in culture, make them understand these differences and to teach them how to avoid cross-cultural conflicts and how to make the diverse environment an opportunity for the company. Students will also have the chance to learn how to cooperate in international teams. |
