Wiedza: student knows how to aggregate data, how to use analytical function for management's analyses purpose student has the knowledge on database operations types, knows basic and advanced SQL commands student knows the Oracle database environment, understands controlling user access system, is able to find and interprete needed metadata student is able to describe predicted results of SQL command ora SQL commands sequence Umiejętności: is able to interpret messages and metadata generated by Oracle RDBMS is able to find proper SQL statement to solve business problem formulated in common language is able to choose optimal SQL statement to solve the problem is able to work in simulated corporate environment which means one database with many users in different time zones and different national standards Kompetencje społeczne: is able to transform business problem into SQL problem linking together economic and computer science knowledge is able to find better solution for the problem is able to use on-line Oracle documentation and some other valuable web sites like Ask Tom |

The main goal of this lecture is to present following issues: 1. building of relational database and object-relational database 2. database update and read rules and commands 3. advanced query building on many structures (different tables, views, indexes, synonyms, sequences), using of set operators, in-line views 4. queries with multi-row, analytic and semi-procedural functions 5. manipulating large data sets |
