Wiedza: 1. Student understands a long-term and complex character of the globalization and regionalization processes, their conditions, evolution, interactions and significance for national economies and the world economy. 2. Student understands interactions of basic factors and mechanisms of the globalization and regionalization processes, their impacts on economic activity, need of adjustments by economic entities. 3. Student tries to analyze, interpret and evaluate current events in international relations Umiejętności: 1. Student is able to identify and assess changes in the current state of globalization and regionalization processes, as well as emerging opportunities and threats. 2. Student is able to identify implications of changes in the globalization and regionalization processes for the national economy and to recommend necessary adjustments in the economic activity. 3. Student is able to discuss current issues in international relations and present own opinions. Kompetencje społeczne: 1. Student is prepared to work in firms or institutions acting in global and regional environment. 2. Student becomes aware of unfavorable economic and social consequences of the globalization and regionalization processes. |

Presentation of development and characteristics of globalization and regionalization in the present technological and economic conditions, including growth of the knowledge-based economy. Analysis of participation of countries, regions and enterprises in the processes globalization and regionalization, with a focus on a leading role of transnational corporations and their international expansion in the processes. |
