Wiedza: After completion of the course student: 1. Is able to demonstrate advanced knowledge related to essence and specificity of international logistics. 2. Understands the complexities associated with international logistics management and how such complexities affect the competitive strategy and financial missions of the firm. 3. Has understanding about basics in international and global supply chain management. Umiejętności: After completion of the course student: 1. Is able to identify, formulate and solve basic management problems in international and global purchasing, manufacturing and distribution systems. 2. Is able to use theoretical knowledge to analyze and solve practical problems concerning international Logistics. 3. Is able to understand various analytical techniques used to solve selected logistics problems. 4. Is familiarised with current international logistics developments within European and global environment. Kompetencje społeczne: After completion of the course student: 1. Has capabilities of working in a team and of accepting the co-responsibility for the results of group work. 2. Realizes the need of synergistic effects of win-win relationships with internal and external partners. 3. Has capabilities of looking for information and ideas from different international sources and evaluate them in a critical way. |

The general purpose of this course is to examine the role of logistics within a competitive international and global environment and to introduce it as a field of managerial responsibility. The course offers a framework necessary for the analysis of international logistics developments, which are relevant to firms trading and investing on foreign markets and provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in international logistics management which are ones of the most needed in international and global economies in the 21st century. |
