Skrócony opis: |
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the role of sanctions as a foreign policy instrument and with their basic types, as well as the most important national sanctions systems in the world. In addition, the challenges faced by Poland and the EU in building effective sanctions systems will be analysed. The importance of this policy for the future of the global economy in the context of the US-China rivalry and for Poland in the context of the war of Russia against Ukraine should be emphasised. It is worth noting that the issues of sanctions also directly concern many market entities in terms of their implementation (compliance procedures). The series of classes will close with an analysis of practice based on actions taken by Western countries towards Russia and the role of sanctions in the Sino-American rivalry. |
