Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: After completion of the course the student has knowledge of: 1. differences between legal systems, 2. major sources of civil and commercial law in international perspective 3. methods of dispute resolution in international trade. Umiejętności: After completion of the course the student will have the skills to comprehend the legal complexity in international trade in particular by: 1. indicating applicable law for international trade contracts; 2. indicating relevant court for international trade disputes; 3. cooperating with legal firms on legal issues raised above Kompetencje społeczne: Awareness of legal risks. Awareness of diversity between legal systems and countries. |

Skrócony opis: |
The course will present the complexity of the legal and organizational framework of international trade. Special emphasis will be on explaining major differences between legal systems, presenting legal acts regulating international transactions (collision law, jurisdictional rules), describing methods of dispute resolution in international trade and major harmonized areas of international trade law. |

Pełny opis: |
Students will be taught about the legal and institutional framework of international trade including international e-commerce. Particular emphasis will be placed on the differences between the main legal systems, the law applicable to international contracts, forms of dispute resolution, including online dispute resolution, harmonised areas of international law (sale contracts, distribution contracts, limitations to contractual freedom resulting from competition law), basics of intellectual property protection as well as most common types of companies in cross-border trade. In addition, students will learn how to audit the legal aspects of running an international e-commerce website. |
