Creating ability to apply advanced statistical techniques. The course is aimed at both theoretical knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge in practical applications in order to resolve actual problems related to the data analysis. The proposed scope is extension of the basic course in statistics and covers the following areas: selected distributions, estimation methods, statistical tests, elements of multidimensional statistics, analysis of variance, statistical inference in regression models without classical assumptions. The course develops the ability to conduct advanced data analyses, necessary in numerous areas, inter alia: economics, management, marketing, banking, insurance, demography. |
