Wiedza: The student understands management science's links to economics, sociology, psychology and other disciplines of science. The student knows the types of organizations and ways of their classification and definition. The student knows the basic areas of organization management and the most important theoretical concepts that explain conditions and rules of solving different cases of organizational problems. The student understands the nature of organization's environment and its impact on the organization. The student knows the most important megatrends in today's environment of organizations. Umiejętności: The student defines the various problems of organization and management using the terminology of management science and theoretical models. The student knows how to use in practice the basic tools for researching and solving organizational problems. The student knows how to define the nature of the environment and its impact on the organization. The student knows how to define roles and functions of management. The student knows how to define management styles and assess their relevancy. Kompetencje społeczne: The student can apply the theoretical knowledge to explain the actual organisations. The student recognizes the importance of scientific knowledge of the organization and management for smooth operation in every area of life. |

The aim of the course is to provide solid grounding in management to successfully manage large or small, profit and nonprofit organizations in twenty-first century. Knowledge and skills gained through attendance in this course should interest students in management issues, show the relationship of the management science with other disciplines of science and indicate ways of improving organizations, provided by knowledge of theories and scientific methods of organization and management. The course is designed to help students explore essentials of management discipline and understand their personal potential in developing useful career skills. |
