| Efekty uczenia się: |
Wiedza: A student should be able to: 1. identify and successfully employ the basic macroeconomic definitions and concepts, understand the contemporary tools and methods of macroeconomic analysis at the basic level, demonstrate the familiarity with the basic macroeconomic models describing fundamental macroeconomic issues. 2. list basic regularities (stylized facts) describing economy in a short, medium and long run, 3. recall and understand major macroeconomic events and regularities with regard to the Polish, European and world economy within the latest decades. Demonstrate familiarity with basic macroeconomic models. Umiejętności: A student should be able to: 1. carry out an analysis based upon tools and macroeconomic models introduced within the course; 2. apply the acquired knowledge to interpret observed macroeconomic processes and regularities. . 3. employ the acquired knowledge of the economic mechanisms in a macro perspective to explain the observed regularities with the use of basic analytical tools and models 4.apply macroeconomic framework in the interpretation of the press publications on macroeconomic issues. Kompetencje społeczne: A student should be able to: 1. demonstrate understanding of macroeconomics at the level sufficient to take intermediate macroeconomics course 2. to use knowledge and skills acquired in other related courses and to constantly update and broaden the knowledge of macroeconomics |

This course provides an overview of basic macroeconomic concepts: output, unemployment, investment, interest rate, money and inflation. Basic models of macroeconomics are introduced to analyze economic fluctuation and stabilization policies. This course also introduces the basic categories of macroeconomic growth. |

Understanding the mechanism and regularities typical of the modern economy. Carrying out an analysis of various aspects of the economy. Applying theoretical knowledge to the analysis of the historical and current economic processes and events. This course should constitute a starting point for intermediate macroeconomics. |
