Wiedza: 1. Knowledge about the differentiation of spatial economy and the factors having impact on this differentiation. 2. Knowledge about conditions of spatial differences as well their consequences 3. Knowledge about enterprise location factors and their changes. Umiejętności: 1. Lectures in Economic Geography help to understand what is the reason for differentiation of the level of the economic development of spatial units of different type. 2. Understanding how to identify threats for development, the barriers of growth as well as directions of growth. 3. The lectures make it possible to learn how to update the knowledge about different countries and regions, where to find information on these subjects and how to analyze data and to interpret it. 4.Thanks to the lectures the student is able to analyze the location of enterprises and the structure of national economy sectors. Kompetencje społeczne: 1. Thanks to the lectures in Economic Geography one can learn what's the impact of the characteristics of a place on different firms located there. 2. Presentation of the idea of spatial economy in different geographic scales and its impact on the processes of socio-economic development. Lecture will describe the factors having an influence on the differences in the structure of spatial economy as well as consequences of these spatial differences. The subject of Economic Geography deals with the analysis of differentiation in the level of the economic development and the reasons behind existing disparities as well as the distribution and acquisition of the factors of production. Also, its area of interest is the development and location of economic activity. These analysis' are performed in different geographic scale in order to discover the general rules regarding forming of spatial structures of the economy and the development of the spatial economic processes. |
